I remember playing this game as a child and loved everything about it while my brothers were annoyed by it. They just couldn't understand the true beauty of this game! It was a masterpiece of its time, and i don't regret a single second i spent playing it! X3

Finally started this game w/ my bro recently and we both instantly said "Oh it's like Soul Blazer" when we were told to go find a bunch of eggs to bring people and animals and structures back to Earth. And then we got to the dungeon crawling and I was like "Hell yeah it's also like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon" Sick game 8-) Also this is used as the theme for the "Schniper", a legendary and half-hidden video by gzero91 under a "Team Fortress" playlist. FYI. 8-)

I just noticed that the melody of the regular flute and counter-melody of the pan flute are both leitmotifs from the main theme of the game. I'll admit it's a little hard to hear because the rhythms are changed and a lot of the flourishes in the main theme are gone. But the important notes are all there. For the musically inclined: Try learning the melodies from both this track and the main theme on an instrument, and you might just see what I'm talking about. Also, the track "Departure" from when Toan's journey begins and you first take control of him sounds to me like it borrows from the track "Broken Promises (Orgel)". At least to me--I could be wrong about that, though.
